The Gingerdead Man (2005)

Directed by Charles Band (infamous for the strange).  Written by William Butler and August White (and it should not have taken 2 people to write this).  Starring Gary Busey (yeah).

Plot: an executed murderer’s ashes get mixed into some dough and baked and out comes the Gingerdead Man

It sounds like a funny sort of movie, but it doesn’t really sound like a good movie.  And it isn’t.  It’s actually sort of boring considering there’s a gingerbread man running around killing people.  A few parts are quite funny, but not enough for us to recommend it.

The “love story” is depressing to watch.  It physically hurt watching Amos and Sarah together, but not together.  And no one even got naked.  You’d think in a movie like this there would be some boob shoots, but nope.

Lastly, there are far too many times that people could just run away.  Maybe trap the mean little gingerbread man and call the police.  But no one does it.  It’s super unrealistic.

We gave it a 35/100.  We didn’t hate it, but it didn’t quite feed our appetite.
