The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia (2013)

Directed by Tom Elkins.  Written by David Coggeshall.  Starring Chad Michael Murray and Katee Sackhoff.

Plot: actually not a sequel to “Connecticut”, it just uses the same name, this movie is about a whole different family who moves into a house full of secrets in Georgia.  This time it’s different though because the wife’s side of the family has a gift that allows them to communicate – sort of – with the dead.

“Georgia” was directed by Elkins who directed “Connecticut” as well.  It is also based loosely on true events.  Only thing is, we thought these events were more interesting than the original events.  The ghosts had some very cool things to say.

We didn’t like everyone throughout the whole movie though.  DJ like Chad the best and that’s not something he usually admits to.  LOL  But over time we started caring about everyone, especially that precious little girl.  And Holy Jesus, the dog lives!!  Hallelujah and Amen!

The worst thing about the movie was that it’s really slow in parts.  We thought it could have been at least 20 minutes shorter.  We saw, and think most people will see, the “big reveal” long before it’s actually revealed.  It was a pretty interesting story though and it had a good cast, great effects and some actual scares that had us jumping a little bit.

It’s not really rewatchable, but we liked it better than the original.  How about that?  DJ gave it a 56/100 and I gave it hearty 65.
