Plot: a group of really stupid people vacationing in Brazil run into horrific trouble after making a series of really stupid decisions
They are all so cocky in the beginning of this film, thinking nothing bad could possibly happen to them. Until it does. They wanted to get away from it all and be irresponsible and party all night and then they’re mad when they end up miles away from civilization or police or even cars. And why after waking up drugged and robbed would you trust anyone else aside from the people in your group?
There’s no one really likable in this movie. There’s no new innovation, as people get tortured in movies all the damn time. There’s no Freddy Claws because everyone is a fucking idiot. And the story was very weak, except for when the bad guy decides to turn into a Bond villain at the last minute and explain his plan before he kills them.
Good thing it was realistic enough – people do stupid shit all the time. It had a terrific cast, impressive effects and boob shots, of course. I recommend it though, but DJ doesn’t.
My score: 53. DJ’s score: 37.
