Written and directed by Deborah Brock. Starring Crystal Bernard, Patrick Lowe, Heidi Kozak, Kimberly McArthur, Juliette Cummins, Joel Hoffman, Scott Westmoreland and Atanas Ilitch (the new rock-n-roll driller killer).
Plot: the only sane survivor of the first movie, Courtney (now played by Bernard) has to battle another killer with a deadly guitar drill. Yup.
Valerie, Courtney’s sister from the first movie, is apparently in a mental hospital and Courtney herself is having scary dreams. Dreams about a man with a guitar drill that wants to kill her. She’s also having crazy hallucinations, too. But Courtney is in an all-girl band and likes her life for the most part. She has good friends and a guy, Matt (Lowe), who likes her.
Come the weekend, the girls in the band decide to have a slumber weekend at Sheila’s (Cummins). They immediately have a pillow fight, some of them stripping off clothes. Then the boys show up, as they always do. But sadly, it turns out that the new guitar driller killer is real and he starts disposing of the teenagers. He sings, he dances, he kills and he breaks the 4th wall – it’s laughable. But this one isn’t even so laughable it’s good. It’s just a mistake of film making.
There’s a horrible soundtrack. The graphics aren’t really good. There’s no motive. We don’t even know where he comes from. There’s no rules. It’s just a horrible sequel. And at the end we’re not sure if she’s crazy or sane. I guess you’ll just have to take a look if you want to figure it out for yourself. But we don’t recommend this one. If you really want to have fun, just move right onto Slumber Party Massacre III.
Our score: 33.
