Written and directed by Jason Lei Howden. Starring Milo Cawthorne, James Blake, Sam Berkley, Daniel Cresswell, Kimberly Crossman, Delaney Tabron and Stephen Ure.
Plot: two teenage boys summon an ancient evil while playing an “evil” piece of music.
Four outcast teenage boys start a band and call it Deathgasm. Two of the four boys, Brodie (Cawthorne) and Zakk (Blake), go to their heavy metal idol, Rikki Daggers (Ure) and he gives them a piece of music that he says to guard with their lives. Then, they play the music instead of just guarding it and everyone in town starts spewing blood and going crazy. A lot of them turn into zombies and they start attacking the ones that aren’t zombies.
It’s an interesting movie. There’s a lot going on. And Zakk is a dick part of the movie, but then he isn’t. It’s kind of hard to follow come the end of it and the rules get weird, so points off there. It was a funny movie though. We liked it more than we thought we would. But how do zombies with no eyes see people? We’re not sure. But if you wanna watch it, do so, and just have fun. Don’t go in thinking it’s going to be the best damn thing since sliced bread.
My score: 52. DJ’s score: 45.
