Directed by Rupert Harvey. Written by Harvey, Barry Oper, Joseph Lyle and David J. Schow. Starring Don Keith Opper, Terrence Mann, Paul Whitthorne, Anders Hove, Eric Da Re, Brad Dourif and Angela Bassett.
Plot: after being cryogenically frozen and waking up on a space station, the Critters want the crew for lunch.
In 1992, Charlie (Opper) is still a bounty hunter and accidentally gets cryogenically frozen in a pod with the last two Critters’ eggs. In 2045, a salvage ship, run by a pervy, asshole captain (Hove), finds the pod and brings it on board, thawing it along the way. And once thawed out, the Critters start to kill.
Now, Angela Bassett, Brad Dourif and Don Keith Opper were cool, of course, but the rest of this movie was just bad. It was much more boring than the other movies. It was unrealistic compared to the other movies (and that’s saying a lot, because none of these movies are very realistic). The dialogue was pretty bad. The story was corny. Couldn’t watch this again. And it wasn’t even very funny for a comedy horror.
My score: 21. DJ’s score: 26.
