Plot: a reporter and her cameraman record an outbreak that turns people into zombies when they become trapped in an apartment building.
Angela (Velasco) and her cameraman, Pablo (Rosso), are working with a fire department to make a documentary when they get a call to come to an apartment building because an elderly woman is freaking out. Once they and the police get there, they approach the woman and she bites one of the officers setting off a severely uneasy chain of events.
I was glued to the edge of my seat nearly the whole time. It’s disturbing and gross, but the effects were ridiculously well done. And it’s also very well acted. Not everyone in the movie is likable, but other things made you see past that. There was a good motive, it followed rules, had a great story and was pretty realistic.
At only 78 minutes, it’s a really short movie to watch. It’d be easier if it wasn’t in Spanish, but we’ve never minded subtitles. If you do, I suppose you could watch it dubbed, but I think it takes something away from it myself. In any case though, we do recommend you watch it.
My score: 72. DJ’s score: 81.
