Directed by Kelsey T. Howard. Written by Eugene Hess, Paul Lawrence and Paul T. Murray. Starring Edward Furlong, Daniel Franzese, Aimee Garcia, Brian Geraghty, Andrew Keegan, Sam Page, Nate Parker, Laura Ramsey and Jaime Pressly.
Plot: a reality show reject starts his own show so that he can kill off the contestants.
Philip (Furlong) was rejected on “Lover’s Lane” by a woman (Pressly) who chose another man (Page) over him. He puts together a new show for a bunch of college students promising $1,000,000 to the winner, but first he goes and kills the woman who rejected him and her new lover. This is not a give away. Pressly does die in the first 10 minutes of the movie so don’t go watching it just for her.
After that, Philip gathers the contestants and only speaks to them through speakers in the house, never revealing himself. And, of course, when someone gets voted off the island (so to speak), they don’t just leave the house. They leave the world. Philip mainly has his brother Claude (Franzese), a mentally challenged man, doing all the killings.
It’s a horrible motive. You can’t go killing a bunch of random people because you got rejected by one person. There were no rules, no boobs (even though people were getting it on in beds and hot tubs) and it was unrealistic. Also, they were all so stupid. I mean, it was a good cast, but they had to act stupidly and selfishly and it wasn’t good for the movie.
Our score: 26.
