Now everyone knows about the plot of The Thing, so I’m not really going to rehash it all.  I’ll just say that it’s about a creature that is able to assume the appearance of it’s victims.  So, you never know who it is.  It’s definitely creepy, but very, very gross.

It’s a realistic movie as much as a movie about shape-shifting aliens can be.  There’s good innovation, too.  It has a great cast and pretty awesome specials.  However, there is no Freddy Claws.  At all.  They start arguing right away and do not let up.

We recommend it wholeheartedly, but our score probably isn’t as high as some people would like it to be.  It is what it is though.

Our score: 63.
