Written and directed by Don Mancini. Starring Fiona Dourif, Michael Terriault, Adam Hurtig, Alex Vincent, Elisabeth Rosen, Grace Lynn Kung, Zak Santiago, Jennifer Tilly and Brad Dourif.
Plot: Chucy (Brad Dourif) returns to terrorize Nica (Fiona Dourif)
So, Andy (Vincent) is now keeping Chucky’s head alive in a safe and torturing him. And Nica has been sent to a mental hospital. She immediately finds someone to have sex with, Michael (Hurtig), who it turns out has Dissociative Identity Disorder. But, of course. She’s also constantly snubbed by the bitchy Claire (Kung). The only one really nice to her is the nurse (Santiago). Then, there’s Madeleine (Rosen), who obtains a Chucky doll and wants to keep him as her child.
This movie is madness pure and simple. The hospital is a joke. There’s scalpel’s kept in unlocked drawers. Patients having sex in hallways. Nurses wearing old-timey outfits. The doctor is insane and perverted. Just like the movie itself, the hospital is a mess and makes little sense. And there are Chucky dolls everywhere. There’s not just one anymore. Don’t even ask us how that’s possible.
And if in the end we were supposed to get treated to some girl power, we were instead led to bullshit. We don’t know how anyone enjoyed this movie.
My score: 15. DJ’s score: 20.
