Plot: paranormal researchers investigate strange events in a Buenos Aires neighborhood.
If you’re looking for a movie that lives up to the hype, look no further than Terrified. First, there’s Clara who believes she is hearing voices in her sink that say they want to kill her. Then, her husband, Juan, finds her slamming around the bathroom, in mid-air, and can’t stop it. When she dies, he’s blamed for her murder. But three people believe his innocence. So, they go to his neighborhood to investigate. And that’s where all sense of sanity leaves the picture.
A child comes back from the grave and another neighbor is being haunted by the largest, scariest man. It’s intense and creepy. It’s realistic and I’d never watch it alone. The script is good, the acting is good, the direction is good and the effects are freaking fantastic. We don’t really know the motive though and we could’ve done with some back story on these “ghosts”. But aside from that, stellar movie.
My score: 72. DJ’s score: 76.
