While five friends (Connolly, Hemsworth, Williams, Hutchison, Kranz) get ready to go to a cabin in the woods, it’s revealed that someone (actually several someone’s) is watching them.  People who are taking bets on how they’re going to die.  See, the people watching (Jenkins, Whitford, Acker, White) control getting the five of them into the basement of the cabin, but then the five have to pick a particular “fate” – at random – that will control the way they die.  Or at least, the way they’re supposed to die.  But these five people aren’t going to go down without a fight.  Even though it’s what the people watching are used to.

The whole thing really isn’t fair though, because while the five “pick their fate”, they’re force fed hormones that alter their decision making, so… not fair.  And you know how much me and DJ like fairness.  I liked them alot so I wanted to see it be fair for them.  It was original though.  And we loved all the different monsters.  Also, the motive was good.  Nice innovation, nice effects, nice story.  We both highly recommend.

My score: 80.  DJ’s score: 69.
