Written and directed by Adam Green. Starring Parry Shen, Laura Ortiz, Dave Sheriden, Krystal Joy Brown, Brian Quinn, Tiffany Shepis, Felissa Rose and Kane Hodder.
Plot: Victor Crowley (Hodder) is mistakenly resurrected and procedes killing again.
In this sequel, some people believe that Andrew (Shen), a former survivor of Crowley’s killing spree, is the actual killer himself since no one can find Victor. But Andrew has written a book about his survival and is now on a book tour. And after being offered $1,000,000 to go back to the swamp for an interview, he – reluctantly – and his agent (Rose) get on a plane with a film crew. Of course, the plane crashes and that’s horrible news for them.
See, elsewhere in the swamp there is a B-movie crew that want to do a movie about Crowley. Wanting the original chant that brings Crowley back to life, they look up videos online of people saying it and eventually it accidentally wakes him up for real. And now that everyone’s together in the swamp and Victor’s awake, people start getting dead.
It’s all very, very bloody. To the extreme. But the kills are good ones, even if a little over-the-top. It’s funny, the acting is good, the direction is incredible and the ending works. This movie was definitely better than the 2nd and 3rd ones. And I even jumped once cause I’m a scaredy cat. I admit that. LOL
Our score: 73.
