Severance (2006)

Written by Christopher Smith and James Moran

Directed by Christopher Smith

Starring: Danny Dyer, Laura Harris, Tim McInnerny, Toby Stephens, Claudia Blakley, Andy Nyman and Babou Ceesay

Plot: during a company team building retreat, a group of employees are hunted down by a killer.

This movie has a really solid opening featuring a gutting and a pit. We then join our main cast of characters on a bus on their way to a retreat and they want to take a detour route but the driver, obviously frightened, refuses and even abandons the group. They walk the rest of the way to the lodge and begin the various activities the boss has planned but things go wrong relatively quickly.

This movie is pretty damn funny and has a great cast. It has some likable people and overall was really fun to watch. It also ended quite well. It has some great innovation on both sides. It was realistic too for the most part.

Tara gave it a 67/100 and I scored it a 73/100. We both enjoyed it and recommend you watch it!
