Paranormal Incident (2011)

Directed by Michael Bolton. Written by Bolton and Chris W. Freeman. Starring Oliver Rayon, Brett Edwards and Derrick Scott.

Plot: six college students enter an abandoned insane asylum to prove the paranormal exists.

So, there is nothing good about this movie other than the ability to make one laugh a little bit. Everything else is bad. Really, really bad.

It’s unoriginal as these types of movies have been done before and so much better. No one in the movie is likable, at all. And they don’t believe themselves let alone each other. And when they finally start to die off, you don’t actually SEE any death scenes.

The first half of the movie is much more watchable then the second half. The second half is a way more sucky movie with two different sucky endings in one. We’re not even sure what really happened.

The direction is bad. There is no continuity. Everything in the abandoned asylum looks a lot more modern than it should. Nobody is a good actor and the writing is god awful. If that’s not enough to keep you away, I don’t know what is.

My score: 17. DJ’s score: 12.
