Plot: A teenager and her friend unknowingly awaken an evil spirit trapped in a doll

Here we have another Annabelle movie and for me it didn’t not in any way, disappoint. Ed and Lorraine Warren learn that the doll acts as a beacon to spirits. While that would prevent me from even being near the thing, I am not them. They lock her away in a glass case with a blessing and a warning. I guess even the Warrens deserve a date night and when they have one their daughter, her baby sitter and some guests have a memorable evening.

This movie takes you on a journey. I think all movies should but that is far from the reality of it. We started out not liking one of the characters but through the course of the movie we ended up liking everyone. People stepped up.

There are plenty of jump scares which I know some people don’t like for some odd, nonsensical reason. It also has great Freddy Claws which is often lacking but not here.

We have a great cast working with a great script featuring a really good opening sequence and a well done ending.

This is well directed, feels realistic and sports an awesome soundtrack. O and stellar special effects.

I am not sure if I will or even could get sick of these James Wan movies, but it hasn’t come anywhere near even starting.

Tara scored it a 79 while I gave it a fantastic and well deserved 91!

"Pale Blue Eyes" by The Velvet Underground is currently my favorite song. 8. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd start building that big old dream house I was talking about. 9. Creepy, sickly, old women scare me. Think "Zelda" from Pet Sematary, "Mrs. Kersh" from IT, and "The Countess" from Black Sabbath. 10. My first pet ever was a bunny named Buffy. Yes, after the vampire slayer. The movie, not the show.
