Written and Directed by Matthew Arnold and Starring Dallas Roberts (you remember him from the Walking Dead?) and Alison Eastwood
Plot: A radio talk show host becomes embroiled in some strange deaths involving “shadow people”
Originally called The Door, Shadow people is one of those “based on true events” movies but we assume that is bs. If you don’t like true events movies don’t let that detract from this movie. The “myth” of shadow people is very real. Take a trip on google and research all the craziness, it’s really interesting.
Dallas Roberts gives a great performance as a chain smoking talk radio host who isn’t exactly a teddy bear but throughout the movie you root for him. I love the scenes that are just him,a cigarette ,and his mic. Smoke slowly stripping away the paper on the cigarette as he does his best late night talk voice (which is very good). There are genuine scares throughout and i dug the ending. The movie is really original and has a great cast who flesh out realistic characters. It has a well written script and nice effects.
Overall very entertaining and more than worth a watch. Tara gave it a 62/100 and i love it with a score of 87/100.
