Plot: a group of troubled teens and two social workers go on a wilderness “retreat” into woods that happen to be infested by mutated ticks.
These two social workers should never be put in charge of kids, all they do is have sex with each other and yell at the kids, not at the same time lol. All the kids are pretty cool and likable. ::SPOILER:: The dog dies early and it is nasty and pretty sad.
There is so much going on in this movie, you have the ticks of course and then these two marijuana growing assholes that you don’t even need that shoot men, punch women and threaten to rape them as well.
Tara thinks the tick transformation is nastier than the roach girl in Nightmare 4, I’m not sure but i also have an ungodly fear of roaches so that could be influencing me haha. The big tick actually looks good , good effects throughout for what it is.
It was overall just really gross, Tara barely watched it. The end was good but the end end was cheap and run of the mill, you’ll know what we mean if you watch it. All in all i thought it was well made enough and had good acting, Tara thinks it should have taken itself less seriously. She almost hated it and gave it a 23/100, me on the other hand kind of liked it with a score of 52/100. It was entertaining enough but just kind of middle of the road type movie , watch it if you wanna kill some time and have a strong stomach.
