First of all, I think I should teach you an interesting term… Megalophobia.  It’s the fear of overly large objects.  Ships, statues, skyscrapers, even the ocean itself sometimes.  And I have it.  Somewhat intensely.  I have never been on a ship and never plan to.  Saying that, this movie is all about a big submarine in a massive ocean.  I didn’t look away when they showed us the creepy faces.  I looked away when they showed us the exterior shots of the submarine.  It was disturbing for me.  Hell, the poster even scares me.

Second of all, the movie is good.  With or without the megalophobia.  It was a little long and DJ didn’t like anyone, but I did.  It also lacked Freddy Claws, but it was original, realistic and had a bitchin’ cast.  Also, it actually ended well and that’s not typical in today’s horror movies.

DJ’s score: 56.  My score: 72.
