Plot: after their friend is murdered tragically, a group of four go on a hike to remember and honor him, leading to an encounter with a presence in the woods.

They start out by building a shrine to their friend, but run into a problem that causes them to decide on taking a detour. Of course yet another thing gets in their way forcing another change of plans. Right from the beginning the story and characters drew me in. The acting gave a lot to the movie with complex and emotional portrayals.
The special effects were great! Made the scares even better. I found it to be highly original, i really liked the different elements they drew on to construct their story. The script was on point, believable dialogue, well crafted and interesting plot.
There are definitely some freaky parts in this, it is at times upsetting, engaging, funny in more ways than one, unique and just all around good.
Tara really liked it and gave it 64/100 but I downright loved it with a score of 87/100, so obviously we both recommend you watch this.

I really loved this movie. Its a great story of one man finding his own strength.
