Plot: A desperate immigrant moves into a boarding house and soon after, begins to see and hear strange things.

Ambar, played by Cristina Rodlo, is trying to get papers, but needs money to get them, so she lands a terrible job and finds a boarding house that doesn’t worry about I.D. and such. She gives a substantial amount of money to a friend who promises to hook her up with an ID and stuff, but her friend ghosts her. I was rooting for her the whole time and wanted to smack just about everyone else.

I found this movie interesting. I think it had some things to say. It is well acted and has some good effects. The premise is original, the story is realistic. I dig the innovation. The ending is a bit open which Tara didn’t love. She wanted something more final, and wasn’t crazy about the story. I would have liked a more concrete ending, but I choose to believe she made a certain decision and I am happy with that.

I definitely recommend a viewing and gave it a 69. Tara thought it was pretty average and scored it a 47.
